For elderly people (over 65-70years old) it is recommended to start with the lowest dose of the drug due to the fact that with age plasma levels are higher.

For patients with hepatic impairment (mild, not severe) the starting dose should be directed by a doctor. The starting dose may be reduced due to the health conditions of the patient.

For those who have previously experienced prolonged erections or have been diagnosed to have priapism (prolonged erections exceeding 4-6 hours) taking this drug is not recommended.

Your doctor may consider risks to your health higher than benefits to your sexual function if you have unstable angina, hypotension, and uncontrolled hypertension, recent history of stroke, arrhythmia, severe cardiac failure or severe hepatic impairment.
