A lot of men suffering from overweight have a low sexual desire and have problems with ejaculation. Very often sexual partners of such men are frustrated and feel nervous before sexual activity making the situation even worse.

More and more people worldwide continue to gain weight and thus have a greater negative effect on sex drive and ability to get normal erections.  And finally they can experience constant problems with erectile function. Body image can also contribute to the development of ED, an overweight man feels less sexy and desirable, less self confident and more stressed.

According to the results of different studies involving men with extra pounds more than 35% of obese people reported they had trouble with desire, sex drive, and performance.

Overweight and age factor may contribute to the development of diabetes and thus contribute to ED. Obese men should see a doctor and have blood sugar and blood pressure checked. Over time, diabetes can damage blood vessels all over the body; the penis is not an exception.

Weight gain can also mean hormone imbalance which can affect sex drive and erectile function. The males’ hormone testosterone can be transformed in estradiol when a man gains weight. This may also low sex drive.
Try to lose extra pounds through diet and exercise and this will help you control blood sugar, the physical activity may also help to balance the level of hormones. Besides, exercises can increase blood flow and make a person feel better, healthier and more active.
Actually according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association obese men changing their lifestyle can improve ED. The study demonstrated that 55 men with extra weight altered their life completely, they kept a healthy diet and exercised more and this helped about one-third of them to enhance their erectile function.
